Daylight Robbery

Recently, I served as a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. As a thank you for my participation, she gifted this beautiful decorative box filled with a bevy of really awesome contents (shout out to PMD). One of my favorites was this sleep mask. I absolutely love this thing… and I think it’s cute as hell! 😍🙈 I had never slept with a sleep mask before. I never really had the need to. I have always been able to fall asleep and stay asleep relatively easy, but, I am also moderately finicky when it comes to my slumber. My sheets must be soft, the room must be cool… and dark (if not dark, I’ll put my head under the covers), it must be quiet and I don’t want to feel my hair touch me, so a head scarf is paramount! Needless to say, the thought of sleeping with something on my face had never occurred. However, on occasion, I do break day and the one thing that remains constant is that I have trouble falling asleep once daylight introduces itself. So, I decided to give this sleep mask a try and all I can say is OMG! Robbing me of daylight, it lulled me into this false sense of post meridiem and I damn near slept the day away! It is so soft, comfortable and light weight; almost as if I have nothing on. It now has a permanent home on my nightstand so that it is readily available on those instances I break day. I recommend sleep masks to anyone in need of a little assistance with their forty winks. Throughout my travels, I have seen many variations of styles, colors and sizes, so I’m sure it won’t be difficult finding one that meets your comfort level. Just be careful using it when you have early morning obligations. Otherwise, you may oversleep and never get anything done!
